Enquiries

Four Doors In.
One Screened Desk.

Every enquiry reaches the same desk and the same team, whichever door it comes through. Say who you are and what you are scoping.

Who Writes

Each Door Has Its Own Page.
Read Yours Before You Write.

Read the door that fits before you write. Each one sets out what its reader can get, in what order, and what the first conversation covers.

GOVERNMENT

Government and ministries

A ministry or an agency scoping sovereign, machine-specific, optionally uncrewed capability with Canadian sustainment, and allied conversions that follow a Canadian reference. Read the government path.

PRIMES & OEMS

Primes and OEMs

A prime seeking a carrier supplier or an integration partner, and a machine builder weighing a licence, a co-development or an OEM-integrated path under a defined IP and data boundary. Read the primes and OEMs path.

SUPPLIERS

Suppliers

Canadian and allied suppliers of compute, sensors, actuators and safety hardware, placed on the sovereign supply-chain register by criticality. Read the suppliers path.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

Emergency services and civil resilience

A municipal, utility or provincial agency whose need is hazard response, on plant it already owns, through the Responder CS-810 profile. Read the civil resilience door.

The four doors carry equal weight. A defence infrastructure contractor sits on the same customer list and uses whichever of the four fits the work. Press and analysts reach the same desk, through the form below or through contact us.

If you are still deciding what to ask about, the thirteen programs are listed on Programs. The fleet carries Air, Ground, Water and Underground. CDNS Autonomy carries the removable operator for machines a customer already runs. Doctrine carries the rules both halves run under, and Partners and procurement sets out the four tiers of disclosure, T0 to T3, and how access moves between them.

What Happens Next

You Write.
A Person Answers.

What follows is the order the desk works in, from the moment a message arrives to the answer that goes back. It is the same order for every door.

Step 1

It is screened

Every enquiry is screened before anything is discussed, whichever door it came through.

Step 2

It reaches one desk

Everything lands at sales@cdnshield.ca, one desk for both halves of Canadian Shield. It is read and answered by the people who run the program.

Step 3

It is answered against the record

Every response is made against the published record for the program concerned: its program page. A government enquiry moves toward a screened evaluation discussion; a prime or an OEM enquiry toward the interface and the boundary that matters to it; a supplier enquiry toward the sovereign supply-chain register; an emergency-services or civil-resilience enquiry toward the machine, the task and what a supported configuration covers.

An enquiry opens a dialogue about doctrine fit, integration and scope, by email and by meeting. Nothing submitted creates an obligation on either side, and no order exists until a contract does. There is no cart and no price list anywhere on this site, and a quote follows scope.

The desk
One inbox. One order of work. One privacy notice.

Both halves of Canadian Shield are read by the same people, in the same order, under the same screening.

Screening and Permits

Screening Comes First.
The Permit Comes Per Shipment.

Screening decides whether a defence conversation happens at all. A permit decides whether anything crosses the border, and it is issued for one shipment at a time.

Controlled goods leave Canada only under permits issued per shipment by Global Affairs Canada under the Export and Import Permits Act, and a permit cannot be pre-committed by Canadian Shield ahead of a shipment.

Export posture is counsel-first.

An agency asking about a collapse, a hazmat spill, a flood or a wildfire is not an export case, and the desk does not read it as one.

Export Posture
Screened enquiries. Permits per shipment. Counsel-first, always.

The posture is decided before a conversation starts, not during it.

What We Do With It

One Notice,
One Company.

One notice, one version and one date cover both halves of Canadian Shield, because there is one company behind them.

You send your organization, your country, how to reach you, what you are scoping and, where the enquiry is a defence one, the country of intended use, the intended end use and whether re-export is intended. It is used to answer you and to screen the enquiry, and for nothing else. What happens to it after that is set out in the privacy notice.

The form

One Form.
One Desk Reads It.

The Conversation

The Desk Is the Same.
The First Sentence Is Not.

Whichever door you came through, write the first sentence for the thing you actually have in front of you.

A ministry or a prime names the ground, the domain and the mission, and the answer comes back against the published record for the programs concerned. An agency or a contractor with plant already in the yard names the machine, the task and the ground, and the answer comes back against what a supported configuration covers, and against whether the public can come within reach of the work: public-traffic work sits outside every CDNS Autonomy profile.

Nothing sent to this desk creates an obligation on either side, and nothing on this site is an offer.
